Stolen Land
I agree with the EU funded, anti-Israel organization MIFTAH.

NGO-monitor reveals that MIFTAH fabricates evidence against Israel. They are “a political lobbying group which … despite claiming to be non-partisan, … is extremely politicized, uses Durban strategy rhetoric, characterizes terrorists as "activists" and "freedom fighters," and promotes political campaigns.”

So how can I agree with them?

They say that “Mideast Peace Can’t Be Built on Stolen Land”.

So with all the racist hoo-hah trying to stop Jews from building on legitimately purchased land in our own capital, let me ask MIFTAH to please start campaigning for the return of ALL the stolen lands over the 1967 armistice lines – starting with Jerusalem and its surrounds.

For example the Palestinian “refugee camp” of Qalandiya, stolen from its legitimate Jewish owners by none other than the venerable UN. Or the other hundreds and hundreds of acres in Jerusalem specifically earmarked for Jewish settlement at the time of its legal and legitimate purchase from its original owners by the Jewish National Fund, permanently usurped by Jordan when they invaded Israel, now closely built with illegal Arab-occupied structures. Maybe the first “illegal settlement” that the IDF should be called to evacuate is the one first built – the UNRWA office in Qalandiya.

And why stop there, David? Four times Israel's surface area stolen by Arab states from Jewish landowners. Shops, offices, homes, schools, hospitals, cemeteries and synagogues.

The question is where to start. I have a (not very realistic) fantasy that a catch phrase like "The UNRWA office in Qalandiya is an illegal settlement" might get some airplay and attention.

Your article on land ownership is so very pertinent and the public deserves reliable details instead of the distortions that are presented in the mainstream media.
I have often wondered how it is possible that ALL the land in the Holy Land is owned by private individual Arabs. This applies especially to land in the area that had been occupied by Jordan until '67 but had been sold to Jews before '48. You gave several examples. There are many more. For example, Rothschild bought the area of the City of David and gave it to the Jewish people for archaeological excavations. Jordan dedicated this area to archaeology during the 19 years they occupied the site. They did not permit any building on this land as can be seen from aerial photos taken in June '67.
This area was deserted 200 years ago when the first Jews, Yemenites driven out of the Old City, settled there and grew vegetables.
Mark Twain reported that the Holy Land was deserted and not fit for human habitation. So why did any private person bother to own such land?
David Roberts painted hundreds of scenes in order to show what the Holy Land looked like. He had no political opinions and this was long before the first Infidels, German Templars, came to reclaim the Holy Land. There are very few people or houses in his paintings.
So when did private people first begin to own land and how did they register it?
Ottoman law recognises land ownership if a Muslim nomad has camped on the same site for 3 consecutive years. However, this "ownership" remains valid only as long as he remains on the site.
Land ownership was a valid reason for the Turks to collect taxes. However, nobody, not even an Arab, likes to pay taxes. So, why did they claim ownership?
Land ownership in other countries is associated with useful land and income. Much of the land in the Holy Land became suitable for agriculture, and was therefore "ARAB"le, only after Jews had drained the swamps.
Was land "owned" and "sold" like London Bridge was "sold" to an American tourist?
Jehoshuah Hankin bought land from absentee Arab landlords in Beirut. He then had to pay for it a second time to Fellaheen who had camped near the site. The local Kibbutzim paid for it a third time when they made arrangements to "share" their crops with the neighbouring Bedouin who had previously stolen all of it. And now, it is still privately owned Arab land!

I see blood when I read about ALL the stolen by Arabs land we have finally gained in 1967. Each inch of Gaza, each inch of the “West Bank” legally belongs to the State of Israel. You see the problem is with Israel, no one else. When, in 1967, they conquered the land, instead of being drunk from their victory, Israel should have gone, house to house, and expelled every single Arab living illegally on OUR land. All of the Arabs should have returned to Jordan. Now Israel has the eyes on the entire anti-Semitic Liberal/Leftist world breathing down their throat and the Jewish liberal attitude in Israel of lack of nationalism and patriotism is rampant! If I was the Israeli Prime Minister, I will begin the expulsion today! After all Israel is holding the League of Nations Mandate and ALL the land from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea is legally the land of the State of Israel! NOT ONE centimeter of this land should be in Arab hands…whoever claims any of this land is his, I want to know from what legal owner did he buy it? After all Jordan illegally held to the land from 1948 to 1967 and none of that land belongs to any Arab, to any country but Israel. It is not even a disputed land, as many use this term, because UN Resolution 242 and the League of Nations Mandate for the State of Israel are the best witness documents.
One of Israel’s biggest mistakes in its short history is the unilateral evacuation from Gush Katif; now the world expects a repeat of this Israeli government criminal act. A Jew MUST never leave his home so that an Arab can come live in it instead.
The worst enemy of Israel is Jews and Israelis! You see, in ANY OTHER country in the works ALL the Aras MK’s will be in jail for treason as 5th column but in Israel they are sitting in the Knesset cesspool of hypocrisy and they open their mouth with hate and incitement against the state helping the enemy. I am ranting because the problem is at home and it is home that needs a clean up and fast!
